10 August 08 - Timsbury Manor

The previous visit had seen Nigel Smith outperform the field with a season’s best weight of 148lb 6oz.  This time, Nigel drew one of the favoured pegs and fishing pellet in the margins, amassed what’s thought to be a club record 162lb 6oz.  Catching right from the off, unlike other anglers who struggled in the first half of the match...

17 August 08 - Ashridge Manor

The match section's visit to Ashridge Manor, saw Wayne Clark land a new club record (for a match) Mirror Carp with a 21lb 12oz Specimen - on the Pole !!

14 September 08 - New Barlows (Tadley)

Julian Falla won the Stillwater Series by a solitary point, with last gasp effort in the last 2 hours....New Barlows Lake, at the Staceys complex near Tadley was the venue.  To read how he did it and the Full Match Report - Click Here

14 December 08 - Soke Road (Tadley)

Scott Arlett won the last match of the Series at Soke Road, to win his first series by 14 points - Full Match Report - Click Here

Nigel Smith capped off the season in style, with a win at Bill Hook Lake (Odiham) which secured him the Winter Series by a solitary point, from 2nd on the day and the Series, Graham Dodd.


The accumulated points Nigel accrued across the3 Series, (377 points) meant he secured the Club Championship with an 83 point margin of victory.


During the season he has won matches on no fewer than 6 occassions, with 7 runner up places.  He also broke the Club Record for a 6 hour match at Timsbury Manor with a 162lb 6oz weight.  One of his many successes using pellets !
